TRUST & SAFETY

Meeting safely

Make room for connection without giving up control of your safety or boundaries.

Before you meet

  • Discuss expectations and boundaries beforehand. No one owes an explanation for a boundary or a refusal.
  • Meet somewhere public first. Keep a private home address private until you are comfortable with what you are sharing.
  • Arrange independent travel and a way to leave. Tell a trusted person where you are going and agree how you will check in.
  • Avoid sending money to strangers or sharing documents, banking details or sign-in codes. A verification claim is not a reason to lower your guard.

Keep checking in

Consent is ongoing, specific and freely given. It can be withdrawn at any time, including after travelling or arriving. Do not pressure anyone, treat silence as agreement or assume that an online preference guarantees interest in person.

Never record, photograph or share intimate content without consent. If someone is uncomfortable, stop. If you feel uncomfortable, you can leave; you do not have to stay to be polite. Keep control of your belongings, communications and journey home.

After a meeting

Respect privacy afterwards too. Do not share screenshots, identifiable details or photographs without permission. If contact becomes unwanted, state your boundary if safe and use blocking. For a concern connected to a post or message, use the existing report controls rather than circulating private evidence.

Account or profile verification is not a safety guarantee. In an immediate UK emergency call 999; use local emergency services outside the UK. Platform reports are not an emergency response channel.
